Spring

Man, it was a glorious thing to step outside after the rain today and finally see some color. When you live in a state plagued by snow and frigid temperatures for six or more months out of the year, you start to see the world in blacks, whites, and grays. 

But today everything just seemed so vivid. The brilliant royal blue of the sky after the rains cleared. The grass shifting from brown to green. New life springing up everywhere you look. The giant bellies of the robins a glowing orange. Maybe it's because it was Easter and the remembrance of Jesus rising from the dead. But today felt alive.
